Fundraising to Train Adult Dogs in Need of Training!
Sometimes we get unruly dogs but we don't give up—prison training can help! CCI's Board–In Training service is just the ticket to develop the relationship—a respectful and loving partnership. Some adult dogs were not socialized early on in life and we don't always know their back stories so to help the we send the dogs "to prison training!"
The initial training is a minimum four week "sentence" for $1,400.
- This is an intensive socialization program, conditioning the dogs to be around and greet many different people, as well as interacting with many other dogs.
- Training includes all the basic manners you would want from your canine companion; sitting to greet a person, sitting to go through a door, crate training and house training.
- Basic obedience include sit, sit–stay, down, down–stay, come when called, and basic heeling on lead.
- Depending on the dog's age and capacity for learning, they can teach other tricks, once the basics are solid.
- They also feature confidence building with agility equipment training at some facilities
